Fritzy Boy earns breakthrough win at Hastings
Fritzy Boy rallied from off the pace to secure his first career group stakes victory with a one-length win in the $174,925 Mudgway Partsworld Stakes (NZ-G1) on Saturday at Hastings.
The four-year-old Brilliance gelding broke slowly under Noel Harris, steadily advanced to midpack, and launched his winning bid after he was angled out with about 600 meters remaining in the 1,400-meter (6.96-furlong) race.

1st season sire Gold Mine recorded another ultra impressive trial winner 15th January at the Foxton trials. 2 year old gelding 'Sherborne' went the quickest time of the day over 800 meters and won by 3 lengths in the process.

GOLD MINE Out in front!
Gold Mine shot to the top of the first season sires list today when his only runner to date "San Bernadino", blew his opposition away in the time honoured Listed, 'Ford' Welcome Stakes over 1000 meters by 3 lengths at Riccarton.
San Bernadino's rider Lisa Cropp yesterday after the race said "he was most impressive, has an amazing attitude and wait till he's a three year old. He looks like one now!"
